Just Another Tuba Quartet

Join us for another Music at Immanuel formance. The tuba quartet is comprised of Jackie Phaneuf and Amanda Muskin, euphoniums, and John Elliot and T.J. Ricer, tubas. They have performed extensively for the Eastman School of Music, including for its Tuba Mirum concerts and Holliday Sing in 2006. The concert at Immanuel will be a varied program, featuring arrangements of pieces by Gabrieli, Hindemith, Rossini, Holst, and Gershwin. Please join us for a fun-filled night of low brass !

Musical Americana

Join us for a fun evening of acoustic folk songs from colonial times to the present. These songs were written in response to conflicts regarding independence, slavery and abolitionism, immigration, westward expansion, world wars, anti-war protest, the civil rights movement, and other important social battles in the history of our country. Allen Hopkins plays a variety of instruments, including guitar, banjo, harmonica, Autoharp, mandolin, and concertina. He will perform music from both the European-American and African-American traditions. Audience participation will be greatly encouraged!

Join us for an electric organ concert by Thatcher Lyman. The program will show off the many colors of the 2 manual Delaware organ in the sanctuary. Thatcher is an accomplished musician, curently pursuing a Master's degree in organ at the Eastman School of Music

Autumn Tapestry: The Harp Sings the Turning of the Season

Amy Walts, a well-known area harpist and specialist in Celtic music, will open the Music at Immanuel Concert Series this fall. Performing on the pedal harp, the lever harp, and the electric harp, Amy's program is sure to appeal to all ages.

Join us for an evening of music for viola and guitar. This exciting duo, featuring Jason Sah on viola and Mark DeMott on guitar, will perform rarely heard works which highlight the beautiful sonorities that these two instruments can produce together. A Festival of Lessons and Carols

Since 1918, choirs around the world have recreated the service of Lessons and Carols. Scripture, carols and anthems will join together to create a service which will be one of the highlights of your Christmas season.

Classical Guitar

International competition winner, Alfonso Aguirre Dergal, will present a concert of music for the classical guitar. This varied program will be performed by someone who has been hailed as one of the most distinguished Mexican Classical guitarists of his generation. Reflections

Celebrate the centennial of the Village of Webster and the rennovation of Immanuel's organ with a program of works by composers who looked to the past for inspiration. The concert will include the world premier of "Webster Trilogy" by local composer Sandra Gay, as well as works by Bach, Brahms, Mendelssohn, Locklair, and others

A Choral Feast

Monday, March 7th, 2005 at 7:00pm.

The Susquehanna University Choir from Selinsgrove, PA will provide a choral thrill as they visit Webster on their concert tour. Under the direction of conductor Cyril Stretansky, the chior has performed internationally and has been heard on national broadcasts. This is one concert you don't want to miss!

 

A Harpsichord Sampler

With music from Germany, Italy, the Netharlands, and France, this concert celebrates the greatest composers of the harpsichord. Director of Music at the Lutheran Church of the Incarnate Word, James Bobb, will be your guide through a musical tour of Europe. Join us for an evening of classical elegance

Various ensembles will present an evening of music depicting the beautiful stained glass windows in Immanuel's sanctuary.
